Distillers Grains

Dry mill ethanol processing creates three forms of distillers grains: wet distillers grains, modified distillers grains, and dry distillers grains. Modified distillers grains have been dried to approximately 50% moisture and have a slightly longer shelf life than wet distillers grains. Dried distillers grains have been dried to approximately 11% moisture and have an almost indefinite shelf life.

Producing at full capacity, our plants produce approximately 225,000 tons of dried distillers grains equivalents per year which equals approximately 17 pounds per bushel of corn used.

Distillers grains are principally used as a high-protein, high-energy animal feed supplement marketed to the dairy and beef industry, as well as the poultry and swine markets.
