The Huron, South Dakota plant produces approx. 32 million gallons of denatured ethanol per year. This plant, located near Highways 281, 14, and 37, is served by the Canadian Pacific Railroad. The plant has ample track space to accommodate large rail shipments. Situated in an area of ample corn supply, and expanding corn acres, the Huron plant consumes approx. 12 mm bu. of corn annually. This location has a beneficial grain origination agreement with the South Dakota Wheat Growers Cooperative. The facility also produces and distributes both wet and dry distiller’s grains. The plant is adjacent to a Dakotaland Feeds facility that purchases a majority of the co-product. The Huron plant was originally of Gaylor design and construction starting in 1998. ICM was used to expand this plant to its current capacity.
